Who’s the woman to watch in 2010?

The women’s field seems to be opening up more an more these days so who do you think will be the real news maker in 2010? Will Wozniacki surge ahead and capitalize on her 2009 successes? Will the Williams sisters prove that they’re still a force to be reckoned with? What about the return of Justine Henin? Can she dominate the womens game again?

Wickmayer will come on strong in 2010 w/ clear potential to climb to top of rankings in the next 1 - 2 years.

If Serena's match last night with Azarenko was any indication of what to expect in 2010 it looks like we're in for more of the same. She was down 4-6, 0-4 and somehow managed to come back and win--pretty gritty performance! So far those that seem to be asserting themselves are Serena and Justine with some of the new up-and-comers nipping at their heels. Kim C's loss was a total surprise and I expected Wozniacki to at least get to the semis in Melbourne but she didn't make it.

What no love for Maria? I think 2010 will be an awesome year for womens tennis with Justine, Caroline, Kim, Maria and the Williams sisters.
